Electrolytic reduction of p-bromobenzophenone in the presence of benzenethiolate: an electrochemically catalysed aromatic nucleophilic substitution

Abstract

Electorolysis of p-bromobenzophenone in the presence of benzenethiolate anion leads to p-phenylthio-benzophenone via a substitution catalysed by the electrochemical injection of electrons.
