Synthesis and lon-exchange characteristics of titanium antimonates

Abstract

Titanium antimonate precipitates have been obtained by mixing the solutions of 0·1M-titanium (IV) chloride and 0·1M-antimony pentachloride in the volume ratio of 1 : 1 at different pH values. Adsorption studies of 21 cations have been made on all the samples synthesized. The selectivity of this ion exchanger for metal ions has been compared with other synthetic inorganic ion exchangers.
