Abstract

A crystal structure analysis of a purple complex obtained on reduction of MoOCl3{Ph2P-(CH2)2PPh2} with zinc dust in tetrahydrofuran followed by recrystallization from acetone shows the crystals to be [MoOCl{Ph2P(CH2)2PPh2}2]+[ZnCl3,OC(CH3)2]–,OC-(CH3)2.
