Carbon compounds of the transition metals. Part XII. Crystal and molecular structure of phenylmethoxycarbenepentacarbonylchromium

Abstract

The compounds prepared by the nucleophilic addition of lithium phenyl or methyl to tungsten and chromium carbonyls are shown to have structures which are consistent with those expected for carbene complexes. Details of the crystal and molecular structure of the chromium complex are presented.
