Analytical applications of a 0·5-MeV Cockroft-Walton set based on the measurement of prompt γ-radiation. Γ-Radiation emitted during proton reactions

Abstract

Nuclear reactions are outlined which yield γ-rays when the elements from lithium to chlorine, with the exception of neon, are irradiated with protons of an energy of 0·5 MeV or less. Energies of the principal γ-rays are listed and analytical applications based on measurements of the γ-rays are discussed.
