Electron spin resonance studies of radicals and radical-ions in solution. Part V. Solvent effects on the spectra of mono- and di-phenyl nitric oxide

Abstract

The radicals mono- and di-phenyl nitric oxide give electron spin resonance spectra in which the nitrogen and hydrogen hyperfine coupling constants vary markedly with solvent. These effects are accounted for by simple molecular orbital calculations using the Hückel and McLachlan methods.
