Unique D–π–A–π–D type fluorescent probes for the two-photon imaging of intracellular viscosity

Abstract

Herein, we report a unique D–π–A–π–D type fluorescent probe. The probe, with a large π system and two ICT processes, was sensitive to intracellular viscosity. Furthermore, the probe was successfully applied for the two-photon imaging of intracellular viscosity.
