Electrochemical n-type doping of carbon nanotube films by using supramolecular electrolytes

Abstract

In this paper, we demonstrate the electrochemical n-type doping of single-walled carbon nanotubes with supramolecular electrolytes. Quantitative electrochemical charging allows the tunable conversion of p-type SWNT films to their n-type forms. Their conversion and the stability of the products are found to rely on supramolecular cation structures.
