A new method for determination of gas–liquid mass transfer coefficients by direct measurement of gas uptake by flow NMR

Abstract

An in situ method for determination of the overall volumetric mass transfer coefficients by direct observation and quantitation of dissolved gases that contain NMR active nuclei is presented. This technique allows for accurate characterization of mass transfer phenomena for chemical processes that utilize dissolved gases as reagents.
