Facile preparation of FeS@GO and its outstanding electrochemical performances for lithium storage

Abstract

The development of highly promising electrode materials with superior electrochemical performances using simple preparation methods is necessary for the future of energy storage devices. In this study, an FeS microsheet and GO ultrathin sheet composite (FeS@GO) is prepared using a facile hydrothermal method followed by ultrasonic cell comminution. The FeS sheets are well-dispersed in the GO matrix and wrapped by GO. FeS@GO delivers a first discharge capacity of 1675 at 0.1 A gāˆ’1, which can be maintained after 150 cycles. Moreover, FeS@GO exhibits promising rate capabilities.
