Synthesis of novel 2D in-plane anisotropic covalent organic frameworks through a solvent modulated orthogonal strategy

Abstract

Recently, two-dimensional (2D) in-plane anisotropic materials, as represented by black phosphorene, have attracted growing attention due to their unusual anisotropic physical properties. With an aim to broaden the scope of anisotropic materials from inorganics to organics, we herein report the first facile synthesis of a range of 2D in-plane aniso-COFs through a solvent modulated orthogonal strategy.
