O-difluorodeuteromethylation of phenols using difluorocarbene precursor and deuterium oxide

Abstract

O-difluorodeuteromethylation of phenols using commercial diethyl bromodifluoromethylphosphonate and deuterium oxide to prepare various difluorodeuteromethyl aryl ethers was first reported. This facile method affords a convenient way for the introduction of OCF2D groups into organic molecules.
