Supramolecular Control over Pillararene-based LCST Phase Behaviour

Abstract

Herein we have successfully developed a novel supramolecular control over LCST-like behaviour induced by low molecular weight compounds. Due to the host-guest interactions involved and the formation of host-guest complexes, the introduction of supramolecular interactions can effectively adjust the thermosensitive phase behaviour in water.
