Cauliflower-like hierarchical silicalite-1 supported AuNPs toward improved catalytic reduction of p-nitrophenol

Abstract

Cauliflower-like hierarchical silicalite-1 particles were synthesized using poly(acrylamide-co-diallyldimethylammonium chloride) co-polymer by a steam-assisted crystallization (SAC) method at 150 °C/72 h. Gold nanoparticles (5–20 nm) were impregnated into the synthesized silicalite-1 which showed excellent catalytic reduction of p-nitrophenol with an apparent rate constant and activity parameter of 7.7 × 10−3 s−1 and 146.4 s−1 g−1, respectively.
