Recent advances in functional modification of separators in Lithium-sulfur batteries

Abstract

Practical applications of lithium-sulfur (Li-S) batteries are greatly limited by rapid capacity attenuation caused by polysulfides shuttle. Functional modification separators have been proved an efficient strategy to restrain polysulfides shuttle. Herein, we present a short overview of the recent advances in the development of the multi-functional separators, and give an outlook on the promising approaches for the construction of reliable Li-S batteries.
