Facile Synthesis of Highly-dispersed Pt/CeO2 by Spontaneous Surface Redox Chemical Reaction for CO Oxidation

Abstract

Spontaneous surface redox chemical reaction between Ce(OH)3/CeO2 nanorod precursors and metal salts was developed to synthesize the highly dispersed Pt nanocatalysts anchored on porous nanorods of CeO2. Strong electronic metal-support interaction enables the high catalytic activity of as-synthesized catalysts for CO oxidation.
