A Novel High-strength polymer hydrogel with Identifiability Prepared by One-pot Method

Abstract

High-strength hydrogel with good biocompatibility and identifiability is challenging. Here, a new approach enabling simple one-pot method to synthesize a high-strength polymer hydrogel is presented on the basis of silicone, polyhydroxyethyl methacrylate (PHEMA), and Eu(III) organic complex. Constitution and properties of hydrogel could be tuned easily, because of the good solubility of the monomers and non-interfering polymerization processes. The hydrogel exhibits excellent integrated performance with toughness, high resilience, biocompatibility, and identifiability.
