MicroRNA Detection at Femtomolar Concentration by a Biological Nanopore with an Isothermal Amplification

Abstract

One of the greatest challenges faced by chemists or biologists is the detection of single molecules at extremely low concentration. This paper describes a method to detect ultra-low concentration (around 1 femtomole [fM]) of a nucleotide using an isothermal amplification and a biological nanopore.
