Metallomics: The History in the Last Decade and A Future Outlook


In 2004, “metallomics” was coined as integrated biometal science.1 It has passed about 10 years since then, and so the history of metallomics in the last decade is reviewed for the document of the developmental processes of metallomics before and after the proposal. Then, an outlook of metallomics research in future will be considered in terms of some topics such as the platform for trace metal sciences, a simplified model of the bilological system, research subjects in metallomics, recent trends of metallomics research, and a challenge to all elements analysis of single biological cell
