Two-in-one: Au nanocages with highly open architecture and “hotspot” effect as a SERS-active substrate

Abstract

We report a facile route for the successful synthesis of unique urchin-like Au nanocages via galvanic displacement reaction, and it can be used as an excellent SERS-active substrate.
