Homochiral porous coordination polymers with rare utk topology and two kinds of uniform channels for enantioseparation

Abstract

A pair of enantiopure chiral porous coordination polymers (PCPs) with rare utk topology were prepared by using derivatives of L-/D-alanine and Zn(CH3COO)2·2H2O. The framework integrates two kinds of parallel and uniform 1D channels that constructed by self-stranding of three equal helical chains and a single helical chain, respectively. Among which, the right-handed PCP, D-NTU-18, shows enhanced enantioseparation toward racemic 1-phenyl-1-propanol.
