Controllable nanothorns on TiO2 mesocrystals for efficient charge separation in hydrogen evolution

Abstract

Here we investigate that sheet-like TiO2 mesocrystals with controllable nanothorns on {101} facet during the topotactic transformation exhibit the facet-induced charge separation and anisotropic electron flow, realizing the efficient facet-dependent photocatalysis in solar energy conversion.
