Functionalization of maleimide-coated silver nanoparticles through Diels–Alder cycloaddition

Abstract

Benzotriazole-maleimide (BTM)-coated silver nanoparticles were synthesized through a simple one-pot route. The BTM linker serves as a bifunctional unit for the subsequent preparation of polymer–NP conjugates and the design of bio–Ag NP hybrids for further applications in biosensing platforms and material science.
