Novel silicon–nickel cone arrays for high performance LIB anodes

Abstract

We report on a high performance silicon anode based on silicon–nickel cone arrays. The composite electrode exhibits good capacity retention and remarkable rate performance. A de-lithiation capacity of 2639, 2341, 2042, 1806, 1693, 1523 and 1308 mA h g−1 is retained at 0.2, 0.5, 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 C, respectively.
