Formation mechanism for planes (011) and (001) oriented Mg(OH)2 films electrodeposited on SnO2 coating glass

Abstract

Porous and dense Mg(OH)2 thin films with (011) and (001) preferred orientation were electrodeposited respectively. The films formation mechanism were explained by comprehensive analysis of morphology, structure, 3D structural models of Mg(OH)2 and hydrated states of Mg2+ in solution with different interfacial pH value.
