Dynamics of adduct formation of hydroquinone under oxidative conditions observed by laser spectroscopy

Abstract

Hydroxylated products of hydroquinone (H 2 Q) are induced via [Fe(ox) 3 ] 3- –H 2 O 2 under light and detected in the visible region by laser spectroscopy; reaction of hydroxyl radicals with (H 2 Q) is observed leading to adduct formation.
