Promoting effects of Se on the activity and selectivity of Rh–ZrO2 catalyst for ethene hydroformylation

Abstract

Se-Modified Rh–ZrO2 catalysts, prepared by treatment of Rh–ZrO2 with Me2Se or by a co-impregnation method using SeO2, exhibit high activities and selectivities for ethene hydroformylation, having an optimum ratio of Se : Rh.
