Possibilities of application of some new algorithms for standardisation purposes; standardisation of sodium hydroxide solution against commercial potassium hydrogen phthalate

Abstract

A method for the standardisation of sodium hydroxide solution against commercial potassium hydrogen phthalate without its prior purification is described. Application of the curve-fitting method to the corresponding regression functions, denoted PADE W, PADE 1/W and SIMMS 1/W, gives the possibility of evaluating the parameters related to the system tested, i.e., concentrations of the species, activity coefficient of hydrogen ions and equilibrium constants.
