Quantitative infrared spectrophotometric analysis of phenylpropane derivatives in natural and artificial mixtures
Abstract
The determination of phenylpropane derivatives in essential oils and plant extracts was carried out by infrared spectrophotometry. The method was applied with satisfactory analysis to isolated or synthesised derivatives and also to substances in natural (and artificial) mixtures, provided that they are the main constituents and that accompanying terpene derivatives do not absorb at the wavelengths selected.
