Catalytic deamination by reversed-flow gas chromatography

Abstract

Rate constants and activation parameters for the deamination of 1-aminopropane, 2-aminopropane and aminocyclohexane over 13X molecular sieve have been determined using the technique of reversed-flow gas chromatography. In aminocyclohexane the fraction of the surface which is catalytically active has been estimated, and this is found to increase with increasing temperature.
