Solid ammonia radiolysis. Temperature effect in the radiolysis of solid ammonia

Abstract

The G values of the products formed when solid ammonia is γ or electron irradiated at 194 and 77 K have large temperature dependences; this effect is independent of dose rate. At 194 K, G(N2H4)= 0, although high G(H2) and G(N2) values are observed, probably due to N2 formation without N2H4 as an intermediate.
