Absolute asymmetric synthesis of a sanguinarine derivative through crystal–solution interactions

Abstract

A new construction reaction for the absolute asymmetric synthesis of a sanguinarine derivative was realized by crystal–solution interactions. A stochastic outcome with high enantiomeric excess (ee%) values (up to 100%) was observed under cooling crystallization, while preferential chiral amplification was observed with Viedma ripening.
