Sulfate separation by selective crystallization of a urea-functionalized metal–organic framework

Abstract

Encapsulation of SO42− into a Ni coordination framework functionalized with urea anion-binding groups allows selective separation of this strongly hydrophilic anion from a highly competitive aqueous environment.
