The promotion of excellence has been a high priority in ChemComm and the journal takes pride in paying particular attention to scientists in the early stages of their career. The suggestion of a special issue highlighting excellent contributions from this group from across the chemical sciences got an enthusiastic response from the Board members. It was therefore agreed for ChemComm to publish an ‘Emerging Investigator’ issue and the response to the letters of invitation was overwhelming.
Professor Peter Kündig, ChemComm Chairman and Guest Editor for this issue, says ‘on behalf of ChemComm I would like to thank all the authors for their contributions. My colleagues and I are proud to highlight the dynamic nature of the new generation of scientists in this way. ’
The print issue will be published later this year, and it will be widely promoted at an international level at several key conferences and thus serve its purpose to bring the work of the emerging investigators to the attention of the wide readership of ChemComm and the chemistry community at large. In anticipation, we have decided to list the papers, on this web page, as soon as they are published as advance articles. Please return to this page frequently to see the collection GROW
