Isoflavones: LC-MS/MS Profiling of Isoflavone Glycosides and Other Conjugates
This Chapter covers applications of liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) methods in the analyses of isoflavonoid compounds present in tissues of plants. Basic issues concerning these techniques are briefly described, along with their importance for the results of the metabolite profiling. The applications of LC-MS analysis aimed at the identification of various patterns of isoflavonoid substitution with different glycosidic, alkyl and acyl groups are discussed.
