Modified diffusion cell and its application to the determination of activity coefficients

Abstract

A modified Millipore-filter diffusion cell, in which the diffusion process is followed by conductivity measurement, has been applied to the determination of diffusion coefficients of some nitroammine-cobalt (III) complexes in aqueous solutions at 25°C. The stoichiometric mean activity coefficients of the complexes have been computed from the diffusion data by Harned's treatment.
