Luminescence control in hybrid perovskites and their applications

Abstract

Hybrid metal halide perovskites have emerged as promising semiconductor materials for photovoltaic applications as a consequence of their remarkable intrinsic optoelectronic properties and their compositional flexibility. However, these properties have also been found to be suitable for applications in other different fields. In particular, the photoluminescence properties of hybrid perovskites have demonstrated to give rise to efficient light emitting devices as well as lasing applications. In this manuscript we have reviewed the recent advances of hybrid perovskites in these fields paying attention to the compositional design of perovskites as a tool to modulate the luminescence properties of this class of devices.
