Surface ligand-mediated isolated growth of Pt on Pd nanocubes for enhanced hydrogen evolution activity

Abstract

Isolated growth of Pt on Pd can be achieved facilely by tuning the coordination interaction between Br and Pd atoms. The island growth mode Pd@Pt core–shell structure exhibits enhanced catalytic performance compared to that of layered growth mode in the Hydrogen Evolution Reaction.
