Immobilization of plant polyphenol stabilized-Sn nanoparticles onto carbon nanotubes and their application in rechargeable lithium ion batteries

Abstract

We report a simple and facile route for preparing nano-Sn–C composite anodes by immobilizing plant polyphenol stabilized-Sn nanoparticles onto carbon nanotubes (CNTs). The as-prepared nano-Sn–CNTs were used as high performance anode materials in lithium ion batteries, which exhibited high reversible capacity and rate capability.
