One step construction of a taxane-like skeleton by a diendiyne metathesis cyclization reaction

Abstract

One-step cyclization for the formation of the characteristic tricyclic system of taxanes is described. This process is based on a cascade metathesis cyclization reaction that allows the preparation of novel taxane derivatives in a fast and simple manner.
