Facile synthesis of recyclable Zn(ii)-metallosupramolecular polymers and the visual detection of tensile strength and glass transition temperature

Abstract

We have successfully constructed a novel type of recyclable crosslinked Zn(II)-metallosupramolecular coordination polymer, which possessed outstanding thermal stability and mechanical properties. More importantly, the tensile strength (RM) and glass transition temperature (Tg) of the resulting crosslinked films could be visually detected by taking advantage of the transparency decreasing effect of metal–ligand bonds.
