Action of sodium and lithium chlorodifluoroacetates on phenanthrene-9,10-quinone
Abstract
Thermal decomposition of sodium chlorodifluoroacetate in the presence of phenanthrene-9,10-quinone leads to the formation of phenanthrene-9,10-diyl carbonate. Thermal decomposition of lithium chlorodifluoroacetate in the presence of the same quinone gives 10-chlorodifiuoromethyl-10-hydroxyphenanthren-9(10H)-one.
