Abstract

Vacancy production probability per incident photon in the atomic K shell was measured for Zr, Ag, Te, Ce, Eu, Tb, Dy and Er; Kα and Kβ X-ray production cross sections were measured as barns per atom for the same elements. The vacancy production probability increased near the K absorption edge.
