Cyto-active amino-acids and peptides. Part XIII. Fluorescent derivatives of melphalan and other amino-acids

Abstract

1-Dimethylaminonaphthalene-5-sulphonyl-(dansyl)-melphalan and -4-di-(2-chloroethyl)amino-aniline, and dansyl-N-glycyl-N-phenyl-alanine ethyl ester and -melphalan ethyl ester hydrochloride have been synthesised. All these fluorescent compounds were tested for anti-tumour effects in rats against the Walker tumour 256.
