Polarization of the CaI* chemiluminescence from the Ca*+ CH3I → CaI*+ CH3 reaction: evidence for Hund's case (c)coupling

Abstract

The polarization emission of the excited CaI* produced in the Ca(3Pj, 1D2)+ CH3I → CaI*+ CH3 reaction has been measured showing evidence for Hund's case (c) in the excited CaI diatom.
