Thermodialysis of non-ideal aqueous solutions. An experimental study

Abstract

Experiments on mass transport across non-isothermal porous partitions are reported. Solvent and solute fluxes are separately assessed, and simple methods for their evaluation from experimental data are given.

The interesting conclusion is reached that often the observed fluxes move against chemical potential and hydrostatic pressure gradients.
