Green/green-yellow-emitting KSrGd(PO4)2:Ce3+, Tb3+/Mn2+ phosphors with high quantum efficiency for LEDs and FEDs

Abstract

Ce3+, Tb3+ and Mn2+-activated KSrGd(PO4)2 phosphors with high absolute quantum efficiencies were first prepared by a Pechini-type sol–gel method. The photoluminescence and cathodoluminescence intensities of Tb3+/Mn2+ can be enhanced by co-doped Ce3+ ions into the KSrGd(PO4)2 host via the energy transfer process.
