Ligand effects on the fragmentation of ion–molecule complexes of transition-metal ions with amines

Abstract

The dissociations of a series of metastable RNH2–CoCl+ complex ions (R = alkyl) have been studied using B/E linked scan techniques. These reactions were compared with those of corresponding RNH2–Co+ ions. Ligand effects on the metal-ion reacvity and ligand–ligand coupling are presented.
