The deformation vibrations of [Os3–nRun(CO)12](n= 0–3) in the 150–30 cm–1 region

Abstract

Although most models predict quite a large number of δ(CMM) and δ(CMC) bands for [(MM′)3(CO)12] systems only three strong bands are actually observed. This is explained in terms of a model in which the correlation of the local deformation modes with those of a ML6 molecule of Oh symmetry plays a central role.
