Crystal engineering of dichromate pillared hybrid ultramicroporous materials incorporating pyrazole-based ligands†
Abstract
Two new coordination networks of formula [Cu(L)2(Cr2O7)], DICRO-L-Cu, (L = 7: 4-(3,5-dimethyl-1H-pyrazol-4-yl)pyridine; 8: 3,3′,5,5′-tetramethyl-1H,1′H-4,4′-bipyrazole) are reported. These compounds represent the first examples of hybrid ultramicroporous materials incorporating pyrazole-based ligands. Ligand length and sterics mitigate against interpenetration between networks, generating internal voids which have been studied in terms of CO2 and N2 sorption.
